Starting back in 1965 Graham Wedgbury with his wife Kathleen opened their garage on the Ludlow Road outside of Bridgnorth, whilst initially a fuel station and car repairs they sold new and used cars. Initially Wartburg’s and Mazda and then went on to sell Peugeot.
In 1986 they decided to start selling Skoda cars and it was then they unknowingly laid the foundations for the start of something big. With a long-standing history in the area and very much a local family, they built a loyal customer base who to this day still choose Faintree as their ‘go to ‘place for their family’s vehicle purchase and servicing.
In 1991 sadly Graham suddenly passed away and the reigns of the family business were taken up by the two sons, Paul and Stephen.
By the time 2005 came around, now under the Volkswagen group umbrella Skoda had grown in to a much larger brand with a bigger range of models. This led to the decision that the original Faintree Garage facilities were just too small to cope with the growing demand, and the first relocation in its history took place to a larger dealership in the town centre of Bridgnorth.
In 2012 after long consultation with Skoda UK it was apparent due to the massive popularity of the Skoda brand in the UK the decision was taken to leave our long-standing home town of Bridgnorth to a Dealership of double the size in Telford to be able to better serve the growing demand.
Even after this expansion in the number of Skoda owners we serve we have always lived up to our mantra of “Big enough to cope, small enough to care”. We are a local family- owned business where the wellbeing of our Skoda owners and our employees are always central in what we do. We pride ourself in ensuring we offer a professional and personal service every time, so our customers can be confident in being able to make a truly informed decision on every aspect of their interactions with us.

As it was back when Graham opened his doors for the first time in 1964 we are committed to providing the highest quality service every time to everyone.
In 2022 we are expanding our family into Shrewsbury where we have opened a brand-new purpose-built state of the art SEAT and Cupra Dealership in the Battlefield area.
