your booking, inspect your current tyres and talk through any recommendations.
We then remove the old tyres and fit and balance the new ones using precision
equipment before correctly torquing every wheel. Finally, we check pressures,
reset monitoring systems (where applicable) and return your car ready for the
road.
Electric and hybrid SEAT models
place unique demands on tyres due to instant torque and extra weight. We supply
EV-suitable tyres designed to handle that load while keeping rolling resistance
low and cabin noise hushed. The result is stronger traction, quieter cruising
and range-optimised efficiency that complements your car’s electric drivetrain.
Below, we’ve provided answers to
popular tyre questions from Faintree SEAT customers.
As a guide, most drivers need new tyres every three to five years. That said, age, tread depth, damage and driving style all affect replacement timing. The minimum legal tread depth is 1.6mm across the middle three-quarters of the tyre. However, we usually recommend replacements at 3mm.
It is possible, but we usually recommend changing tyres in pairs on the same axle to maintain balanced grip, predictable handling and consistent braking performance.
Incorrect pressures can increase stopping distances, reduce fuel efficiency and cause uneven wear. Regular checks help your SEAT steer accurately, ride comfortably and keep its safety systems working as intended.
